Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a major health problem in women of reproductive age. It can influence the way the ovaries work, and can cause periods to be irregular, a high level of androgen (male hormone) and cysts in the ovaries.

  • Thinning hair on the scalp

🧬 Causes of PCOS

These problems have no known single cause, but these are some of the factors often involved:

Hormonal Disruption – Too much androgen hinders ovulation

Genetics – Certain family history of PCOS increase the risk

Insulin Resistance – Results in higher levels of insulin and breaks hormonal equilibrium
